I thought a separate thread might be good for the GOP Convention starting 7-18-16, tonight,

Nothing exciting yet, but there might be some interesting speeches or demonstrations.

Convention Chair Ryan absent for contentious kickoff

Ryan playing it safe. Kasich reportedly a no show also. Hillary is going to use Kasich ( among others ) in a negative ad campaign of "Even Republicans Don't Support Trump).

She's so bad at communication that she probably would do this, which would only make Trump seem more attractive to the people she would be speaking to.

Gingrich is such a fucking dipshit.

Im sure at some point in his career Gingrich has strung together an intelligent statement..

I make no statement about his past, only about his worthless scaremongering dogshit speech tonight.

I counted exactly one black person in the audience during Ted Cruz's speech.

It wasn't the best forum for Newt's speech, but he essentially said what I was saying in the terrorist thread yesterday - unless there's a change Islamic terrorism will be tolerated until there's an attack of unprecedented size.

Do you live in a black neighborhood?

Why? When Trump loses, Cruz will be the only one who seems like he didn't sell his soul (not that he has one) for nothing.

Its much more likely that he made the mistake Marco Rubio made with immigration. I was the most vociferous Cruz supporter I knew, and yet I what I saw was a politician more interested in his own career than in the country. Future judicial appointments, massive debt, immigration mayhem. He's fine letting us live for four years under Clinton. He's fine breaking his pledge. He had a moment to shine and he choked. As Rubio learned, we don't forget.*

*If he is the nominee next time, I'll vote for him because I put country ahead of myself. As I've said before, I'll vote for bloated road kill over a Democrat. All the road kill can do is putrify, expand with noxious gasses, and explode on the walls of the Oval Office. But it will remain our Oval Office, not bought and paid for by Communist China, the Saudis, Soros, or Legion.

Why is it you do you think black people dislike economic freedom and financial independence?

Yeah, not a fan of his, but that was some pretty alpha Andy Kaufman level trolling right there. I'm impressed.
