Tuxedo vest question

Thread Starter
I have been looking for a black, low-cut formal vest like the kind Pierce Brosnan wears in his role as James Bond.  This past weekend, I came across a great shawl-collared vest that fits the bill perfectly.  The only potential sticking point is that the vest's collar is satin, while my tuxedo's lapel is grosgrain.  Would it be a fashion faux pas to mix satin with grosgrain?  If so, would it be an easy task for a tailor to reface the collar in grosgrain?  Your thoughts are appreciated.

Brooks Brothers (boring, but useful) sells a black silk waistcoat that is neither satin nor grosgrain (and it is even set up to take those waistcoat buttons you can buy at Shrubsole). Somebody else here can probably remember what its texture is called, but I think it would work just fine with either satin or grosgrain lapels.
