Nespresso - Which machine to get?

I'm about to pick up a Nespresso machine and am tossing between a few models. I know that several forumites have them so, what do you guys recommend I get?

I have a De Longhi Lattissima, because it makes a very nice Latte Macchiato. A bit pricey, but worth it.
If you are simply looking for a nice coffee or espresso, the most simple models, such as the smaller Krups or De Longhi machines will do nicely. For private use their internal pressure of 15 bar should be enough.

Well i was going to snag one of the Nespresso branded ones. The C100 is the one I've had my eye on. I've spoken with a few people who have them and they say the LeCube model isn't worth the $100 premium. Just wanted to canvass the membership to see what they thought.

Nespresso machines all make coffee the same, so whether you spend $300 or $2000 you know what you are getting in terms of taste and pod varieties. By the way, I think all the machines now have a 19 Bar pressure. I know mine does. So the decision comes down to features and style, and this is after all a style forum. Personal taste, of course, but I have a red LeCube and it's just the coolest, most stylish thing imaginable, and therefore, at least to me, worth the small price premium over the slightly cheaper, less stylish machines like the C100. Mine also came with a free Nespresso milk frother jug/heater thingy, to make up for the price difference. I love my machine, and it's the best price/taste/features compromise on the market for my needs, but there are issues you should know about, which perhaps apply to all Nespresso machines. They make small coffees. Even the Lunghi is small in my book, and the range of coffees available in the Lunghi pods is not huge. I prefer the Risetto (strongest) blend, but it doesn't come in a Lunghi, and if you try to make a Lunghi out of it the machine struggles as I assume there's a different amount and density of coffee in the pods, with the result sometimes a little thin and sometimes a little bitter, though also sometimes very good. I'm a latte drinker, predominantly, and I like my coffee really hot so I can drink it slowly and it will stay hot for the duration of my coffee experience. If you heat/froth the milk in the Aeroccino machine, which does a good frothing job, it's never hot enough for me. So I zap my milk in the microwave instead. The crema from the Nespresso machine is so good, that you still get quite a nice head, so you don't need to froth as well, though when guests are around I sometimes micro then froth. But the bottom line is still that LeCube rules. The coffee is very good, better than some far more expensive machines and less variable, and to me better than most coffee shops despite what a lot of coffee w**kers on the web say, and the machine is so cool, stylish and easy to use and clean that it's a joy to own. And it encourages friends to come around for coffee. Happy java p2b

We have the cube in white and I'm pleased with its understated looks. Coffee is superb - we make mostly ristrettos but also have vivalto for lattes.

I have a ES80 and a Alessi manual. They make consistent cups of coffee, albeit a bit small, there are compromises but overall, for the taste and convenience, it's hard to beat.
