Brand-new convert here to the wonderful corner of the universe that is the Allen Edmonds Seconds sales. Picked up a 99.9% flawless pair of walnut Daltons, so took a swing at the Mora's in bourbon next.
The construction on both is excellent as usual, but each has a small cosmetic issue: on the left, what looks like a short scuff mark on the toe, and on the right, a slight dark line that I assume is the much-discussed"tiger striping" that's been an issue with this color in particular. Collectively, the two also are clearly less than a perfectly-matched pair when it comes to burnishing and the finish in general.
I could use any advice y'all may have as to whether or not these are irreparable cosmetic issues.
I've heard AE's bourbon color is actually walnut burnished with black, so if it's possible to 'customize' the color on both to match (or even look a bit closer) with the right polish and some elbow grease, I'm game as otherwise they're excellent shoes.
