question about color coordination

Which do you like better?

A little background, I am going to a wedding in KS in the day during the summer. It is a more casual wedding so I didn't want to quite rock a full suit since that's what the groom will be wearing. I just wondered what you thought of my color coordination:

This first one is a linen jacket with khaki wool trousers, dark blue shirt and tie

This one is a light blue linen jacket and different color scheme, the trousers would be the same lightweight wool khaki

Of those two choices, I would go with the second, though maybe eschew the green tie for something in the red family.

What do you think of this instead? And what tie would you pair it with?

Perhaps this tie?

The pindot blue tie is a business/suit-only tie. Forget using it for a casual wedding. The lighter blue is a better choice than the cream jacket because of the higher degree of difficulty in successfully wearing a lighter-colored jacket than your pants - so best case is if you have a lighter pair of trousers than the one you're showing here, paired with the blue jacket.

If you do go with the blue jacket, that really only leaves you the two ties on the right, and I think the one with stripes is better. Not sure based on the pics whether you will be better served with the white or light blue shirt, but I'm sure you can easily make that call.

It's probably time to add a pink tie. (Edit: assuming it works for the complexion, and not one of the loud, shiny pink ties often found weddings.)
It would go well with any of the jackets. Everything in the current collection is at least borderline business casual.

The last pic witht the tan jacket is the best looking one to me.....I've heard that wearing white to someone's wedding isn't the best thing to do. A white shirt would be a nice addition to the look...makes it a bit more crisp. As far as the tie, i would go with the dark purple tie with the lines going through. A nice lavender pocket square to balance things out would be nice.

Why the mention of wearing white to a wedding? You don't consider the light tan jacket to be white do you?

You are right. Red will look better.
