Calvin Klien Tuxedo with Ralph Lauren Tuxedo Trousers from Lord and Taylor?

I have been in need of a tuxedo for a wedding and purchased a tuxedo jacket, tuxedo trousers, and all other accessories to go with the tux from Lord n Taylor, they had a suit sale at the time and memorial day weekend sale. There was also an offer for 15% off your entire order when using their credit card so I went for it as it came out to be a good deal(approx $350 for Tuxedo jacket\trousers including a button down shirt, shoes, cummerbund, bowtie).

Although I have one concern, the tuxedo jacket and the tuxedo trousers did not come as a pair nor were they the same brand. The Tuxedo jacket is Calvin Klien with Lord and Taylor branding (Made in China) the tuxedo trousers are Ralph Lauren (Made in Canada) both are the same material\color, 100% Wool, Black. The tuxedo trousers appear identical to the tuxedo jacket, and the sales person advised that they would work together and for the life of me I could not see how the jacket and trousers could not be worn together as they appear identical. The jacket and the trousers were both next to each other on sale racks but they were not sold together. I'm wondering if these were mean't to be worn together\sold together?

My concern is that, aren't the jacket and trousers supposed to sell together as a tuxedo and be the same brand obviously? I bought it all a few months back and I'm starting to wonder about it now as the wedding is coming up. - On a side note, I saw the same exact tuxedo, but it sold with the jacket and trousers at a MensWarehouse and the Ralph Lauren tuxedo pants I bought from Lord and Taylor were identical to the Calvin Klein tuxedo trousers at the MensWarehouse and even had the same exact interior design inside the pants. Are Ralph Lauren and CK partners or have they become the same company? I want to make sure the CK Tux\Ralph Lauren Tux trousers can be worn together.

Here are pictures of the CK tux and the Ralph Lauren tux trousers. Please let me know if it looks appropriate

The trousers can be seen on the left, the jacket is on the right.

I wouldn't say they're identical. The twill pattern on the trousers for both the stripe and the regular trousers part is courser, and the sheen on the silk is more glossy on the trousers than on the jacket's lapels.  To me the trousers appear slightly more grey than the jacket.  Now, will anyone notice?  Probably not, unless you wear them in broad daylight and encourage someone to take a close look.

Is there a possibility this suite was designed to be paired with the trousers since they look very similar? Why would the department store sell tuxedos without the matching trousers to go with it? Perhaps I can find the CK trousers at another store but they did not have them at Lord n Taylor, then again if you believe these will I may stick with them. Just don't like the idea of having a mixed tux knowing they aren't identical even though they appear to be. What would you do?

An evening dress should not be worn before 6pm and should be of two matching parts not separates.

I disagree people will notice, any suit (not a piece of furniture - though they would look dire as well if not matched) looks dire and people do see and many will think of you as ill-dressed or a cheap skate or both. It is also an insult to the happy couple - 'Thanks for the invitation, but I have no plans to dress properly for your tawdry little wedding, you're not worth the hassle.' Not a clever way of conducting your life.

At the very least you could have bought a HSM or Hugo Boss tuxedo from Lord & taylor.  Even a CK or Lauren RL tuxedo that entirely matches.  It will make you self-conscious wearing a mismatched suit.

The whole evening you will wonder if people are noticing that your tuxedo doesn't entirely match.  Not worth the hassle when you could spend $100-200 more and feel refined, genteel, successful, and stylish.

On an unrelated note, this is why you should never take your buying habits from a sales associate. They say some really stupid things.
