ok, so I have been using products in my hair for many years and i have never really acieved the look i really want. i have tried what seems to be everything out there. i have medium length black hair, the style i go with is the spike or something along those lines. the problem is everything i use gives me the spike i desire but it makes my hair look wet, shinny and it makes my hair hard. i want somehting that will give me the spike but still make my hair look natural and not hard/shine. can someone guide me in the right direction pref. with somehting i can find at your local grocery store or a place like that.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Ooooh, I was going to suggest Gatsby but that's J...you'd need to get that from eBay or a friend over there. Anyway what you are looking for is wax. There are clays and pastes but I only have experience with wax at the moment, so I'll just do what I can.
I'm currently trying out Redken for Men Maneuver wax. Mixed feelings, gets the effect sometimes but sometimes not. Need to work out a happy balance between amount and working time.
Check the texture of the wax. From my experience tougher texture is very strong but can get stiffness. Redken is softer and I'm still trying that out so I can't say really.
Just try to avoid water-based wax. I find it hardens a lot like a gel, though not as badly.
