Shoe Upper Alteration Question

Thread Starter

This may be a silly question...

Is it possible to alter something as intrinsic to a shoe as the strap on a loafer?

To be exact, I found a pair of loafers I've been looking for a long time. BUT they're not full strap. And I really can only abide full strap loafers (personal taste). So am now thinking whether it's possible to alter.

Thanks for any answers.

No. Your best bet is to get a shoe that you are absolutely happy with than to try and modify it from its original form. Cost of shoe should be no factor when it comes to your feet so if you are getting a "good" deal on a pair of shoes but do not like the shoes characteristics in original form it matters not. Best to pass on it.
