Question on length of back blade of a tie

Hi guys. Not sure if this is a stupid/redundant question, but I'm a little perplexed by this. I'm aware that the tie should reach the tip/middle of the belt, but what about the back blade?

I'm asking because usually the back blade of my ties only ends around 3/4 to slightly less than an inch above the front blade. I have no issues from a frontal view perspective but I just get a little irritated when I look at it from the side and see them so close together. Is there an optimal length for where the back blade should end or am I just being anal?

Thanks.

You are being slightly anal.  I suppose, that if you want it to look perfect, you could have all your ties custom made so that the back blade end just above the end of the fold of the front blade, but seriously, no one cares, as long as it's neatly tucked.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Look, if you're having some ties run up, and have your choice of length, you could maybe go a little shorter than whatever length your current ties happen to be. Alternatively, you could consider opting for knots which take up a little more of the tie than your current knot.

But basically, it's already fine. Or at least close enough to fine that you needn't fret over it.
