Excellent thread, but @agjiffy needs to learn how to properly do call outs. Here, I will help a bit but reposting some of his first post:

To elaborate on some of the things that I said in my posts on that thread, and because posters were asking, I promised to start a dedicated thread and this is it. The purpose of this thread is to show how one should dress for business on Wall Street if you want to fit in and not make loud noise but also express your personal style in outlandish and creative ways. I'd like to invite @Caustic Man to thoroughly humiliate those who venture into the thread and post dumb **** without forethought; I'd like to ask @DiplomaticTies to pick a fight; I'd like to ask @Claghorn to marvel at my brilliance and over-intellectualize minor trivialities; I'd like to ask @WillingToLearn to sit in the corner quietly and not make a peep; I'd like to ask @lordsuperb to do his thing.

Recommended drink and smoke pairing for reading and participating in this thread:

Sazerac Rye
Cohiba Siglo II

Any disagreements? Varying weights and strengths, and the petite size of the Siglo II is perfect for snark.

Great idea!

Of course you lost the argument in the thread by a mile, but this is a genius way of keeping the issue alive and we gotta admire your persistance. Will follow, maybe even post if I dare. Will snark, but promise not to pick fights unless absolutely necessary!

Yes, yes. That is the place from which we need to deviate. That is the style in which we need to inject Wall Street, and each of our personal styles. Mine first. Everyone look at me.

Incorrect. Ensembles play music. Fits are what you call it when you are trying to be more manly than those who say "outfit".

You are foolishly extrapolating from your own experience. On Wall Street, they all refer to each other's Brooks Brothers and Paul Stuarts as "ensembles."

"Hello, Gregory. Your ensemble today is most excellent. I notice nothing unusual about your shoulders. Very good and carry on"
