Any Levi jeans tab experts?

Today at a Levi's factory outlet store in Madrid I bought 3 identical pairs of Levi Made & Crafted 'Tack Slim' selvedge jeans in indigo. On closer inspection 2 pairs have Levi's on the rear pocket tab (embroidered on both sides) but one pair just has the 'R' registered trade mark symbol embroidered on both sides and without the 'Levi's'. See pictures. How strange what's up with that? Made in Turkey, rigid denim, model no. 05081-0209.

Perhaps the tab was sewn in backwards on the last pair?

Can't see how. The tab is a folded piece of material. On the last pair the 'R' is positioned at the lower edge of the visible side but on the reverse side is positioned at the upper edge. On the other 2 pairs the 'Levi's' word is rotated 180 degrees on the reverse side.

here's what's up with the "circle r" tab:

Levi's has a trademark on their name - Levis. They also have a trademark on the red tab device itself.

So since the 70s they've been putting only that circle r tab on every few pairs of jeans they make. I'm not sure how many they do this to, maybe 1 in 10 or something. But what it's all about is protecting the property of the red tab, white tab, or whichever color tab. make sense?
