A 13.7 micron Kiton K suit costs somewhere between $12,000 and $14,000 in the United States. Or at least that was the price a little over a year ago. The K suits can cost considerably less if you select a different fabric (an Irish Linen K suit cost somewhere between $7,000 and $8,000).

It took me a second to comprehend an $8,000 linen suit. wow.

Probably not, but maybe R by 45RPM will. They offer 18 K white gold rivets, (I think that custom jeans start above 1K) so it *really* doesn't seem out of the question.

My tailor makes custom jeans that are in the order of $250, so I guess that's a steal, right? (I think I'll stick with my GAP jeans, and spend money on dress pants) Jon.

If you look at it that way, it's not that expensive, really...

If you want to see a picture of Kiton's K suit in linen, check out the picture of Massimo Bizzocchi in the Departures magazine article that features him. He is wearing a blue, irish linen suit. The fabric is heavier than your typical linen jacket/suit--still comfortable in hot weather, still wrinkles (not as much as the lighter linen, but come on, that's what linen does), but it's weight gives it a better drape. Alas, I don't recall the date of the article.

You can order the K suit at the Kiton trunk show at Wilkes Bashford (but call ahead of time to make sure that both Massimo and Enzo will be there--not always the case). I'm sure Lous Boston is another option.

Chrome Hearts also details your denim. Starts at $1,000 I believe.

So this is a Kiton K suit?
That certainly looks like a K. Note the slimmess compared to the standard Kitons.

That's the suit I was referring to. I spoke to Massimo at a trunk show and said I loved the color of the suit, and he said it was a custom K suit in irish linen. I bit the bullet and had one made for myself. I have received quite a few compliments on the suit (I often wear the jacket as a sports coat), but I'm afraid I don't look as distinguished as Massimo.

I don't know...Trillion has their own in-house tailors that are directly across from the part of the store that opens through the Via off of Worth Ave. Incidentally, you can see the tailors working through two (or three, I can't recall exactly) windows facing the Via.

From my personal experience however, trillion has less than cordial customer service. Of, course if you are purchasing a Kiton K suit, you might get more attention than was afforded to me.

Jon.
