Are there ANY goods that just CANNOT be bought and sold for money in a market?

I'm working on an academic project on commodification, and I'm wondering if there are any goods or services whose nature prevents them from being bought and sold in the marketplace for cash? (Note: NOT goods or services that shouldn't be bought and sold, but goods or services whose nature precludes their commodification.)

All ideas VERY welcome!

I am a pastor. There's an old joke that stopped being funny a long time ago that a preacher only works an hour each week.

Not only do I respond to many spontaneous requests but I am also responsible for anticipating the needs of my congregation and their families.  I am compensated by my church, but that check does not reflect any individual activity or service I may provide.

It is expected that I visit church members but I also visit their family or friends whether or not they are members or even Christians. The range of topics vary from the spiritual to the physical.  It is not always because of a crisis and a lot could be called mundane.   I've adjusted my schedule to counsel people in jail, mental health hospitals, as well as normal hospitals and discrete meetings in a park or restaurant.  I've been available to talk things over from pre-marital counseling to the wedding ceremony to the delivery room and pre-op waiting rooms as they grow older.  I've walked along those who suffer through relationship problems and celebrated relationship successes. I've buried friends and enemies and sat with their grieving families.  I "cold-called" people just because a friend was concerned about them.

As far as the goods portion of your question, I often give away a Bible or religious materials. I give away money for benevolence reasons.  The boundary between what is mine or the church's is often not present in time or goods.

The statement "and whatever is deemed necessary" in my job description often takes up more of my time than those things that are specifically defined. That is why I've purchased a few coats from you.  It is hard to predict when I'll need to minister, so I keep a jacket nearby just in case.

best regards

Pete

^You sure sound like a thoroughly admirable man, "Bro Pete." You are a marked contrast to me--"Born to be bad, and I only got worse," as I believe we all are according to Holy Writ.

Thank you JLibourel, although we may not be that different.  When I was at my worst, He gave His best.
