So, it occurred to me that I ought to make a thread here about proxy shopping from Japan via our partners at zenmarket (http://www.styleforum.net/t/518233/...ervice-zenmarket-jp-official-affiliate-vendor). I approached them since it's the proxy service that I personally use, and have had 99%+ success rate with. They offer the first item free of any proxy fees (see the SWD thread for details) so there is no real risk in trying them.

Zenmarket has a thread in SWD. There are so many Japanese designers who have no representation outside of Japan, and that's where my mind goes for personal purchases, so that part of the partnership was a very natural start. However, it just occured to me that a lot of classic menswear is also inaccessible outside of Japan (yeah, very organized mind, I know.)

A lot of what guys started proxy buying from Japan looking for difficult to find Japanese denim brands. However, the Japanese mania for classic Americana, in particular, goes beyond jeans. One brand that I've always found fascinating is Caid Modern Tailoring, which does, well, classic, natural shouldered American tailoring, what some might call "Ivy Style", via Japanese eyes:

Anyway, apart from Kamoshita and Ring Jacket, which people already know about, I thought that I'd open up the discussion a bit more, hopefully.

Just some images:

And... essentially what I wore in high school:
