I am preparing fresh baby squids tonite by grilling them with olive oil, salt/pepper, some lemon , garlic, etc.

I never prepared fresh squids before, I just am right now removed the caps from the heads and cleaned out the cartilage and guts from the cap and took off the purply skin.

The tail and eyes part i took out the hard mouth part and some of the fatty membrane around the head.

Do i have to cut out the eyes? looks like the eyes are full of purple juices or something.

or do i just leave them in there and grill?

i think it would be hilarious if someone were to hastily cram a grilled baby squid into his mouth, only to find his epiglottis now stained with ink. come to think of it, now i'm really curious how grilled ink tastes.

yeah, make sure you take out the ink sac.
