Trickers resole - factory vs shoehealer

Thread Starter
Its been a while since ive had my stow acorn boots resoled and the price has rocketed for a factory repair. Seen a old thread talking about shoehealer, who appear to specialise in trickers repairs, including replacing leather with a commando which is what i want. Anyone had any experience as im always nervous about getting a repair done thats not using the original last....

Hi there,

I can't comment on Shoe Healer, but I've used leathersole.co.uk many times with various pairs of Church's and they've always done a cracking job. Not cheap, but cheaper than Church's themselves, and I've always been very satisfied with the results. Reasonable turnaround time too.

They do Trickers - here's a link.

I've got plenty of experience of Shoehealer in general - I have rubber cover soles fitted to all my leather soled shoes and they are fairly local to me and every pair goes to them, they have also done some repair work on shoes for me, and done it very well. When I need a pair of shoes re-soling, I will take them to Shoehealer.
