Is my lapel faulty?

Hi Style Forum,

I am new to the forum and need help with a new suit.
Do you think my lapel gorge area is faulty? In the first picture along my ring finger you can see an indented/uneven area on the lapel size of the gorge seam, making the lapel's slope (and the sideways "V") uneven.
The bottom picture is from the internet to point out the exact gorge part if you don't know where to look. It is far more visible in person.
Is this something I should put up with or should I definitely exchange it?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I wouldn't say it is faulty, it is just the style of gorge that maker cuts. If you don't like it, I would return it. This is a fish mouth lapel, which looks similar....your lapels are just smaller

I'm glad that you know what he's saying because I don't.

Ahh. New England. Buy it in Australia by any chance? I found the New England suits I've looked at to be 100% synthetic materials, and I've noticed some weird things. I've seen the lining sometimes shift, moving the way lapels sit. But it seems to be the style fellow!

When you point it out, it's pretty obvious. Although when the rest of the collar sits against the suit, you can hardly notice the gorge because the colour matches. Maybe this is what the maker intended all along...although that's pretty unlikely too.

Yep, it's from a department store in Australia on a very steep sale. 78% polyester and 22% viscose, which at least makes the pants hand washable.

I inspected a few other same style jackets by the maker (New England is quite low end), but mine is the only one with the gorge mess up. However, it's the only New England one with the lapels being equal widths. The other jackets have proper gorges but the lapels are 52m (left side) and 56mm (right side). It seems like I'll have to pick one defect because New England is the only one that makes my tiny size 84.

Which issue is worse, gorge mess up or lapel widths being slightly off?
