Somehow I doubt the Stimulus would've made the list.

I'll always get choked up with his "punish your enemies" speech. And, thanks to Obama, I'll always bring a gun to a knife fight . . . and I'll be clinging to that gun.

I'll miss having Al S and the BLM crowd at the White House.

It's been a long time since the WH has had any street cred.

Will we miss his near constant Constitutional over-reach? http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36286111

Obama, the softy on immigration, has deported more people than Bush, and more than 19 presidents combined:

*Groan*

What they neglect to mention is that nearly all of those were either criminals or people who were "deported" from the border after being caught trying to come in.

I'll miss Pajama Boy.

Meet the 30-somethings who are running our federal government.

“Cleverness is not wisdom.” — Euripides, Bacchae

What exactly has birthed the Pajama Boy aristocracy — our overclass of pretentious, inexperienced, and smug 30-something masters of the universe? Prolonged adolescence? Affluence? The disappearance of physical chores and muscular labor? The collapse of traditional liberal education and the triumph of the therapeutic mindset? Disdain for or ignorance of life outside the Boston–New York–Washington corridor? Political correctness as a sort of careerist indemnity that allows one to live a sheltered and apartheid existence? The shift in collective values and status from production, agriculture, and manufacturing to government, law, finance, and media? The reinvention of the university as a social-awareness retreat rather than a place to learn?

Well, a nice EO to go into effect on December 1. More than doubling the exempt employee minimum salary. Reviewed a report on impact to my organization. Guess what? I'm laying two people off the last week of November. Isn't their Xmas going to be so much better thanks to Obama?

Full Disclaimer: a few folks will get raises and more will get made hourly...which will probably be a net negative for them.

Well, there's no reason to make any changes until just prior to the new rule. Why would I pay more before I'm forced to? As to the laid off folks their roles will need to get absorbed by other people and no need to do this until it's time also. At least they get to have a nice Thanksgiving.

It's not my world, I'm just living in it and doing the best I can.

Well, December is the worst month to look for a job so there's that consideration for the people you're letting go. I'm also not aware as to how you'd be paying more to let them go sooner. The responsibilities and roles absorbed by other people happens regardless of when that change is made so it seems to be a moot point in this decision.

I guess getting one out of the two holidays to enjoy without feeling the pressure is better than none.

Just trying to get a sense of why wait until the last second, but I guess there isn't much reason to NOT wait either.
