SOLD

$190, price edit. Shipping flat rate $8.95 priority mail USPS.
First person to PM and say they want it, gets it.

I bought this suit online and tried it on, clipped the tags off and was about to take it to alterations, but realized that this suit just will not fit me right even if I alter it. So this suit is available for sale. Tags are still included so I guess it's NWT. I will put them in the chest pocket.

Fit is what I imagine Thom Browne would make. Extremely snug in the pants and jacket, significantly shorter jacket. 3 button jacket, center vent, patch pockets. 4 pocket, 6 button vest. Flat front pants with belt loops and brace buttons. Made in Italy, includes wooden RL hanger. I'm pretty sure this is the Bleecker cut. 65% virgin wool, 35% Alpaca.

Measurements of this suit as follows.

Jacket measurements:
43" chest, measured right below the armhole.
39.5" waist, measured across middle button.
30.75" length, measured from bottom of the collar to hem
26.75" sleeve, measured from shoulder seam to end of sleeve.
18.5" shoulder/back, measured across the back between shoulder seam
19.75" shoulder, measured following the contour from shoulder seams up the shoulder, behind the collar to the other side.

Vest:
42" across top button.
41" across third button.

Trousers:
35" waist.
Unhemmed.
7-3/4" leg opening. Will be 8" across leg opening if you have 32" inseam.

Keep in mind that this is a thicker fabric, so it may feel a small fraction of an inch snugger than measured.

Price dropped to $190 + shipping. Also, chest measurement is 44 not 43. This suit should be slim fit on a 42 chest, or fit a 41 as well.

I'd be all over this if it were in my size. Really dig the fabric. The Purple Overcheck is

Yeah if this was a 40L it would be gone.

Going by the measurements it seems like this might work for someone who usually wears a 40R, doesn't it?

It sure does. I have almost this exact same patter in RLPL suit, or I'd take it, for certain.

I am a euro size 52L or 41L and bought a similar cut Polo suit. I loved it but it was too tight. I think it is for a size 40L or euro 50L, IMO.

Also, and maybe this is just me, but I feel like a 3-piece allows you to wear a little longer jacket than you normally would. And the slightly-bigger-than-a-40r-might-take chest should be filled out nicely by the vest. I think a 40R could pull this off well.

I assume this is the congressman model..
I've had a few of these and agree that the long will work for those looking for a shorter style a la Thom Browne, or for a regular with a more conventional fit
I personally picked one up, though not a fabric this nice, or this cheap

BTW, gents, the suit is single vent. For some reason my edit function is not working right and it just sits there and spins without doing anything... it won't let me edit the OP. My chest measures about 42.5"-43" and I typically wear a 42 in most manufacturers very comfortably. This suit is rather tight on me, where there is a bit of pull across the button. You are correct, a 41L would still find this suit slim, and a 40L would be able to wear this suit still with some basic alterations. As you can see, the shoulder/back measurement is rather narrow. The sleeve length is like a long, but the body length is about 1/4" shorter than a regular length jacket. Basically, depending on what comfort/fit type you're aiming for, this jacket could be made to work (at least IMO) for someone from 40R to 42L.

The buttons aen't functional, are they?

FWIW, you can edit posts, despite the system's obstinance, if you go in through "edit" and then click "advanced edit" before trying to save your changes

Yo homeys.

The jacket sleeve buttons are attached but not functional. I think theres a bag of extra buttons too. Still for sale. Unknown if this is Congressman cut, I looked at the tags again, no marking for model type. Is anyone here a RLBL/Polo expert that could tell me for sure based on the measurements and description?

Eric

BTW, I have some Paul Frederick and JW Nordstrom shirts I am giving away for free, I posted it also in B&S if anyone is interested.

If it were indeed a congressman, the tag on the interior chest pocket would like like so:
