Whats peoples views on mtm/bespoke suits in - cotton/linen, cotton/wool

I understand this fabric choice may not appeal to all.

Im looking at getting a jacket made up in cotton/linen as a very casual piece to wear over a shirt/tee. It would be soft tailored, soft shoulders, larger lapel and a modern length, half lined/very thin canvassing (italian influenced)

Would there be any point going bespoke on such a fabric - Im aware that bunches such as

Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Caccioppoli, Drapers and Holland &
Sherry

would most likely be wool composition,

Going bespoke or not is up to you. All of the usual benefits of bespoke in terms of fit and details apply, as does the downside of cost. If this piece is a high-value piece for you (meaning it's important to you), then bespoke might be an option.

One thing though: cotton and cotton-blend fabrics tend to be stiffer and (IMO) breath less well well than wool, linen, and wool-linen blends. If you want a very soft piece, this might be something you'll want to keep in mind.

Interesting to note about breathability.

My rationale for cotton-blend(linen) is the casual vibe it gives off. By softness for this fabric I refer to the shoulder being natural.

What I stated before was that as its such a casual fabric Im not sure its worth the cost of bespoke (mtm should be adequate). however just looking for opinions on people who have potentially had something so casual made
