I will be as giddy as a schoolgirl Christmas morn to discover that I have given myself a Kala soprano ukulele.

I went out to buy some new boxing gloves for myself, but the one decent equipment shop I knew of appears to have disappeared

Went to a couple of other local sports stores, but unfortunately they just had these fake Everlast plastic balloony crap gloves there, so my stockings will be empty on Christmas morn. Seems such a waste to have empty stockings. May have to stick a woman in them.

Too much ****, but the only thing I'm not going to be returning for sure is the Thinkpad that should be coming tomorrow.

That's it for me.

You sound like me. What a wonderfully cheap existence.

The only thing I've gotten myself is the new Acme Novelty Library. Over a thousand dollars in bills this month combined with currently being unemployed does not equate to a lot of self-indulgence.

Got my self a Remington 870 XCS Marine Magnum. It's kind of the glock (sorry, GLOCK) of shotguns. Waterproof coating, pretty durable.

Nothing on the list for myself but we picked up my wife's Xmas surprise Friday. A nice Iridium Silver ML 550. We car pooled to work on Friday as I told her we'd go out for lunch and make it an early day. When we pulled up at the dealership the look on her face was great.

Bad news is, I am grounding my LX470 for three months and driving her XC90 until the lease is up in March to shave some miles off my Lexus lease.

P.S. Mercedes blue-tooth is a rip off! $400 for a BT insert. I shamed them into tossing it in as I kept saying, "I can't believe a 13k Nissan comes with BT."

Bought some laptops and printer at Circuit City (didn't give myself enough time to order online and all the retailers were out of the HP I was looking for) and the f*ckface clerk that was taking care of me went from "you want 2 laptops, a printer, software, you're awesome!!" to "take all your stupid boxes and carry them out yourself you bastard!" simply because I turned down all their "great offers" on 3-5 year warranties and Norton and Spysweeper installations. "we don't get any commissions so we don't really care if you take it or not, we just want to do right by you". Really? so why did the floor manager and a total of 3 sales clerks try to beat me over the head with these f*cking warranties!!! I hope they go the way of CompUSA.

Awesome!

Ive been using an 870 express for years. It's light enough to walk through heavy brush and crap and cheap enough not to care how beat up it gets.

Apparently these warranties generate lots of profit. I read that CC is not doing too well financially.

A great pair of Luciano Barbera pants, courtesy of the quality seller himself, Ed Morel
A dark brown cashmere zip cardigan from Avon Celli
Mitsuko Ushida's recording of Beethoven's Hammerklavier (fantastic!)
