or Hanukkah, Kwanzaa (kronik), etc.

Had a friend build me a home theater PC, and also picked up a 46" Samsung LCD TV to go along with it. Will be nice in my new place. Might upgrade my current receiver and speakers - tempted to go 'bigger' with the speakers but living in an apartment you really only can take it so far before the neighbors call the fuzz on you. Might pick up a few more Kent Wang shirts after the holidays as well.

I wonder if he roasts a wild gazelle for the holiday. I think I'm going to get myself a J. Press OCBD. Flap pocket, of course.

Wow, that's a SF-lingo insult if ever there was one.

For myself, I'm likely going to replace some of my electronics that are obsoleting themselves. I've already bought a new DVD player that plays DivX movies (not that, you know, I download those or anything) to replace my old one. (I also got one for my parents and plan to burn them 50 movies or so... hope they don't read this)

I am now looking at receivers, and am 50/50 on picking up a new medium-uber TV (40+" 1080i/p). Depends on how things go in the next month I guess.

I almost bought a new Ducati as an early gift a month and a half ago or so, but had finance/reality issues and got a laptop instead.

Maybe early spring.

Circuit City misprinted an ad for Madden 08 as $22.49 but wouldn't honor that price, so I used the ad to price-match it at Sears and picked up the game for $20, then exchanged it for Call of Duty 4 at Wal-Mart.

That's it for me.

You live in an apartment where space is limited so these might not, work but as speakers go...well, you can't beat the Magnepan 3.6:

Bought myself the final pieces to my house's soundsystem...got 4 speakers for my porch, two for my shower, and 6 for my bedroom. Also bought an ostrich card holder from Nordstrom's and a casual pair of Allen Edmonds among many other clothing items that I found while shopping for others. I burned up my dad's 64 chevy (fire was because of a short) so I'm suprising him and myself (will be "ours") with the exact car except this one needs a little bit of paint work (interior is redone with new old stock parts to look brand new but I'll put in a different hidden soundsystem due to the exhaust drowning out the current system).

I'm gonna blow about $1000 on a budget 2-channel stereo system or a digital SLR and software, I haven't decided yet.

Or I might have a momentary fit of maturity and save it for a rainy day. I do hope it's one of the former, though.

Outdoor speakers are great, we installed some speakers on our front patio at my old place and it was perfect for barbecues and for just sitting out on the front porch.

I just bought myself this cardigan from STP: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...e-For-Men.html It's a great color for me, I love the texture, and it's incredibly soft. I also just took delivery, and made final payment, on two of my four pairs of shell cordovan shoes from Ron Rider: Whisky and mahagony saddle shoes inspired by a pair of Alden fan shoes. I've sworn I would never wear 2-tone shoes, but these are understated enough that I can pull them off. I can also probably wear them swing dancing: Monkstraps in color #6: I now have a good wardrobe, so my buying has slowed significantly. I'm also saving some cash for the after-Christmas sales.

Blue herringbone Shetland tweed jacket from W.W. Chan (from H&S's Sherry Tweed II fabric collection). I also picked up nice Richard James tie at the South Coast Bloomingdale's last night, supposedly marked down to $42 from an original price of $140.
