No, you're not understanding. The Kurds who have joined ISIS are Sunnis and their religion trumps their ethnicity. No Shia would ever join ISIS. Furthermore, this guy killed himself which is a one way ticket to hell if you're a believing Sunni.

No I fully understand what you mean, but we still don't know if he is Sunni, Shia or Christian. Which a lot of European Iranians are.

All I'm saying is lets wait and see nothing is certain yet. They also started out saying the guy in Nice had nothing to do with them.

Right but the guy in nice didn't shoot himself in the head. Fleeing and suicide in this manner is not Isis MO. The chance of him being Christian is about as high as Bahai or Jew , which is slightly greater than Zoroastrian. His name doesn't sound Kurdish or Armenian. So that leaves Sunni or Shia, the latter of which represents 90% of the population...

Generally, Iranian Europeans are very secular if not outright atheist so it would be surprising to find out this is even motivated by anything related to politics or terrorism.

The guy in Nice has nothing to do with them....as far as we currently know and it is not looking likely.

Next time police shoot someone in the USA I'll insist it is "Christians again"...

You should insist "it's poorly trained idiots again".

The German police is currently looking into a Brevik connection, so this is getting interesting.

They're really coming out of the wood work in Western Europe these days. Very sad.

What's the final CE ruling on Nice? Islamic or not?

You got my point, don't be dense. We're too quick to associate attacks with religion when it isn't a factor or merely adds coloration to a suicide/murder.

Paris or Brussels attacks=Islamic terrorism with ISIS connection, it is not like these don't happen, no need to fabricate or distort current events.

Brevik? WTF!!?? I sincerely doubt the guy was part of a movement/conspiracy in any major way.

I'm actually agreeing with you and Shah, which neither of you actually got. I said we should wait and see what the reasoning behind it is and keep all doors open. As anything can happen.

The media around here has reported there was an ISIS connection in Nice and the German police is looking at a Breivik angel. So whether or not you agree or it's true....

you have such an obsession with this that if your plumbing broke down and your toilet made a noise you'd think it was a yelling that at you in a blazing glory

The only reason this is being pursued is because of the 5th year anniversary, though I doubt it has any other relevance. He did apparently research mass shootings

Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae said there was an "obvious" link between the new attack and Friday's fifth anniversary of Breivik's attacks in Norway, when he murdered 77 people.

Might just have been the timing but there's something about finding "written material" in the killers room. Maybe school-boy notes like Columbine folks?

Media lied to you, there is no ISIS connection in Nice (so far and not looking likely), maybe you misunderstood?

You can have Islamic terrorism without ISIS connection which was Orlando and most likely Nice. It doesn't matter much imo in grand scheme of things whether the terrorist was an operative/symphatizer or just random jihadi.

Nah the media is inherently left wing, so they would never lie and is always correct both morally and factually.

I read at a 2nd grade level and clap all the large words, so I'm good. wink.gif

“Tragic and we hope the best for the wounded,” Kunast, who is also a chairman of the parliamentary legal committee, wrote in her Twitter post. With reference to the police’s actions, she added, “couldn’t they have shot to disable him? Question remains.”
