To the extent that nationality is a proxy for the relatedness of a population, yes.
Zoom out far enough and it's obvious in the racial crime stats. But even within race, the origins of immigrant populations have explanatory power.
E.g. crime rates of Scotts Irish descendants versus those descendants of 19th century Germans. (The populations defined in the book Albion's Seed explain the geographic support of Trump than any other single variable, btw.)
Over the next 30 years, as researchers find the right level of zoom to cluster common SNPs, the prior 100 years of social science (which didn't bother to control for genetic confounds) is going to be overturned.
