No matter what the weapon hostage taker wheter it's a plastic knife, handgun or rifle. Special police force should have best avialable weapons at their disposal. It is NOT meant to be an equal fight.

You have no idea how bad the point I'm making is bad. Listen, you fucking deep, the US has had court cases where smart people wanted to be cops and the police force didn't want smart people being cops. It was upheld that smart people should not be cops.

Do you really want the only non-military people in a society to be dumb fucks that can have an AR 15 legally? I sure as hell don't.

I'd like to point out that assault rifles (which encompass more than AR-15s) are using in 1.4% of crimes that involve a firearm, 0.25% of all violent crime, and less than 1% of all homicides.

All because the Iron Curtain fell.  Capitalism is evil.  You wouldn't have heard about this is Poland was still communist.

I believe you. You would be surprised how connected the 1% gangs are with the military. More so than the typical street gang. Well I guess you shouldn't be surprised. A bunch of those clubs were started by veterans.

The rest comes from targeting guns by Gary Kleck from 1997.

During the biker war in '02. One group shot a rocket launcher at the other groups club houses. Last year in Malmø there was a balkan gang war, where the weapon of choice was grenades. Currently here a turf war between immigrant gangs have killed two people last week alone.

So there is definitely heavy weapons floating around.

Seeing it is FBI data, I'm going to guess not many were classified as homicides.

The Department of Justice is scrubbing references of radical Muslim beliefs from the transcripts of calls Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen made to police during his massacre, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Sunday. “What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda,” Lynch told NBC. “We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to the Islamic State].”

And then you invoke it as your patriotism-boner inducing horror movie scenario. We have law enforcement systems in place to help prevent an attack of that magnitude. Those systems clearly include screening immigrants and visitors. I certainly hope they work. And perhaps if a terrible attack of the sort you imagine occurs, I would a) feel scared b) feel terrible c) try to understand what happened even if that knowledge doesn't translate to good politics.

(You know, like when a bunch of Saudis killed 3,000 Americans but then we're still totes BFF with Saudi Arabia and we invaded Iraq. But maybe I'm just a bleeding-heart librul because I keep making those pesky distinctions between Muslims, who are all the same)

You're foaming at the mouth. You can't discuss this without letting your emotions take over, clearly. It sounds like you would enjoy Sweden, though. And I don't mean this in a redneck "get out of my country" way, but If I were you I'd hightail it over to Sweden so I could bask in the glory of what my plan will yield 10, 15 or 25 years from now. It seems like a great opportunity to justify your position and reap the rewards.

From the right wingnut playbook

from the chapter "Calmer Than You Are": what if 20,000 were killed in a chemical attack? No really, what then? You'd be sorry then, librul! And stop being emotional; I'm being rational by conjuring up a horrifying scenario that would affirm my worldview!

from the chapter "Europe is Socialist and Multicultural and Full of Soccer--So Gross": Sweden is terrible it is full of Muslims what a godawful place their moral fabric will collapse Bonus! New in the updated edition of the playbook: (not that you should get out of the U.S. and move there; only a mouthbreather would yell such things and I am totes above such rhetoric).
