1) Yes, we have tools, but they are unreliable unless the potential immigrant is a known terrorist or has identifiable ties to terrorist networks.

2) One of those tools is math. 79% of the entire country (Afghanistan) wants you dead if you leave their religion. Given the inability to predict with certainty who believes this and who doesn't, we should not take a single person from a country that almost uniformly embraces such a dangerous belief. 99% believe in Sharia law, which is not compatible with our way of life.

3) The Orlando killer was the son of an immigrant from Afghanistan. You cannot predict what their children will do.

And the last few mass shootings were crazy people who's parents were natural born citizens.  McVeigh was a citizen who joined the military and won a bronze star.  There are a ton of crazy people out there, so let's just punish everyone.  Let's close the border.  No immigration.  Then let's start deporting everyone.  It is the only way we can be safe.

Where and based on what?
Reading from ny time dosen't say anything in regards:

From FBI inspection he was actually radicalized much earlier. Kinda conflicting with the fact of ideologies.

Nothing wrong perhaps if it was not for media/personal politics/lobby trying so hard /presuring to incorporate it every aspect in american culture in genral, but there is few things that conflict. All im seeing claim based on what he atttendended with no solid facts. Afterall he did not plan an attack.
First the information was presented as alqaida attack ,at this point they are saying he has no affilation with alqaida. Sound more like speculative journalism than presenting with any information on actual investigation.

Can someone tell me what is this "american culture" you guys keep referring to? It seems to be clearly defined since I've seen posited extremely clear measures to defend it, surely this wouldn't be some amorphous or contested thing...

Can someone tell me what gun fires 13.3 bullets per second and what that gun has to do with Orlando?

Does it matter? The attacker apparently used a pretty hardcore weapon, some people are for restricting access to these and maybe Nukes or whatever, others seem to think it doesn't matter or contradict some inalienable right they ought to have. Don't care how much it fires per minute cause I'm not a gun fan and Times isn't a serious magazine.

It seems to matter to a lot of people as this is one of the current memes in the Twitter-verse and I'm sure on FB too.

AR-15 (what he used according to them news) is a fucking hardcore weapon and shouldn't be available would be a better statement, but they're trying to strike the imagination. I'm guessing the firing rate is super high (13.3/sec) but you'd have to be a terminator robot cause the magazines are smaller or some shit like that? Who cares, you guys will keep praying for whatever and not doing anything until this happens twice a day so good luck...

So because we have our own problems, we should import more problems from a country where 79% of the people believe in death for leaving the religion of Islam? What do immigrants from Afghanistan bring to our culture that's so great it justifies this risk?

79% of the people believe you should be dead if you leave their religion, and that's not enough of a deterrent for you. Okay. Invent your own statistic. Tell me what belief 79% of the people would need to hold in order for you to conclude that we should stop bringing in people from Afghanistan.

Most of radicals who commited terror acts, who had claimed organization ties and been confirmed by those organizations, in eu and in usa are so far have been largley sunny, wahabbi and salafist.
Even in middle east they are the main source of most problems, they are actually our allies or feed by our allies and us.
Ironic ?
