Well, genocide is a pretty strong reason to flee an area. Not a ton of that going on in socal, at least not against Armenians.

ISIS bomb in Turkey.

Curating this thread really points out where/who to an act of inhumanity happens largely determines coverage in the Western media. Is that in itself an act of inhumanity?

Video has surfaced of a woman in Afghanistan being publicly executed and this article is about a handful of atrocities concerning killing women. Setting them on fire, killed by mobs, shot, etc. A Taliban official summed it up in the article thusly:
Quote:
"Anyone who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran, and that it is Islamic law.
"There are people who call it inhuman - but in doing so they insult the Prophet. They want to bring foreign thinking to this country."

Separately three Turkish soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in an attack that the army blamed on Kurdish militants of the PKK.
An army statement said the attack took place in Mardin province, where the army has been conducting a military operation against the PKK.

You do realize I was poking at Etham and his Hawkish ways, not you?

I actually think the PKK violence is a lot more murky then simply calling it terrorism . I also question the convenience of Turkey naming all acts of terrorism the work of the PKK.

you could say same thing about IRA, not that I put PKK on equal footing with IRA, but would you call IRA a terrorist organization?
