PSA: Crockett & Jones Belgrave handgrades $325 - Page 4

Update: I ordered a 9.5 and 10 on the 24th, and they were each delivered this morning. The sizing, at least for what was delivered to me, was UK not US (as I was expecting). In addition, the 10 was in rather poor shape (scuffed, etc.).

I hope you all have much better luck.

If the sizes are indeed UK, then I was misadvised by the B&J folks and ordered a 12 rather than 11.5 in tan. I suspect there will be many other SF members with wrongly sized shoes. This thread seems the best place to exchange/trade. I'm still hoping the Belgrave 12 UK will be ok for me, a US 12.5. If its too big, I'd rather pass it on to someone here than send it back to B&J for a refund. Will keep y'all posted when I get them.

If that is indeed the case, I'll have a pair in UK 9.5E and I'll need a pair in UK 8.5E. I don't think there were any 8.5's to begin with, so I'd be returning these. Oh well.

I ordered a 10.5 and an 11. I got the 10.5 today (I ordered the 11 a day later in a bit of a panic). On the inside, it says 11B 10.5E amongst other things. So does this confirm that the 10.5 I ordered is actually an 10.5UK? Also, if so, why would it say 11B, rather than 11D?

By the way, I ordered the tan and they are the brown from the picture on the B&J website, and they are in perfect condition, not scuffed at all.

Not my style, but clearly Napoli Couture in the picture, for $137:

"if it was a British or European sizing, we would say so".

Yep, after being put on hold, this was the reply to me as well, after the question was fielded by the product manager.

I'm definitely not an authority, but I think the 11B refers to the color code, Chestnut Antique Calf.

Baron: Hopefully your 9.5's will work out for you. If they don't, I have an interest in them, if you're so inclined ... thanks.

Well, tell us the fit so we know if this is UK or Us, man!

I placed an order a few days ago, and called to follow up on my order yesterday. I've been advised that my black size 12s will be shipped in 30 days!

I'm also very keen to hear if the sizing is correct, I need a US 12.

That's terrible. I assume they told you they were out of stock.

Has anyone else received their shoes and have any comments on sizing? I may have to order another pair if they are listed by UK size.

I received an email stating that the sizing was US and was 1/2 size up from the UK sizing.

Ok, the size 10.5 that I ordered appear to be UK size 10.5 despite the customer rep's assurance on the phone that they were US size 10.5. I tried them on and they fit well, even slightly loose, and I am normally a US size 11.

Wow, I didn't think it would be this hard to get a correct answer on sizing. Sorry for the trouble. But, for those considering returning them, I still do believe you can get $350-400 for them on ebay.

What a waste.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes that will not fit.
I'd order a third now but I just maxed out my card.

Just an FYI, when I shot them an email telling them they had made a mistake in stating that the sizes would be US when they were UK, they said they would cover my shipping costs if/when I returned the shoes.

I may just keep the 9.5E for now, they are just a bit loose, but I am going try a tongue pad. I also bought the UK 10E which is too big for me, but if anyone is interested they can have it for the $325 + shipping -- although it does have some imperfections and I can post pictures, if necessary. Otherwise, I'll just send it back to the mothership.
