Anybody else anticipating this show to be awesome?

Here's the premise if you don't know:
Chemistry teacher (Brian Cranston, the Dad from 'Malcolm in the Middle) is terminally diagnosed so he decides to leave his boring life behind and travel the country in a mobile-meth lab.

It starts Jan 20

That sounds awesome. Hahahaha. I figure this is going to be on cable where I won't be able to watch it?

It is even darker than I thought it would be...The dead body in the tub of acid scene was awesome.

Brian Cranston was also great as dentist Tim Watley on Seinfeld. That episode were he converted to Judaism was great.

I've got my DVR set to record this now. I intially thought the Mr. White would just drive around the country doing meth and off-the-wall shit in a juvenile 'carpe diem' cliche, but this show is so much better than that.

I got a bit nauseous on this scene, and man its been awhile since a movie or show has made me feel gross. I love it.

I watched the first two episodes online. I thought it was pretty decent, but predictable. Smart guy, dope have hilarious misadventures as he goes through a midlife crisis. I was unsure of whether we'd get characters or caricatures, I think it's too early to tell though. Having studied a bit of chemistry, I was surprised that I wasn't cringing through it. Much like in NUMB3RS where they hired actual mathemeticians to go over the script, I'm sure they had nerds look over this one too. My only observations were that he had a really well stocked high school chem lab and that the hydrofluoric acid would have made some really caustic vapors. That's one of the scariest acids I can think of and I definitely wouldn't have it in a high school chem lab...

I saw a little expose on the show and apparently they brought in DEA agents to show them how to do everything for authenticity. If I remember correctly Brian Cranston said that he actually learned how to make meth from the agents so that when he swirled/measured/everything else, it would look authentic. If acting doesn't work out for him at this point...
