Tips for using flat iron

I have medium length thick hair and I use a flat iron to straighten my hair but this leaves my hair dry at times.

What can I use to keep my hair straight and moist?

Make sure you do NOT use an iron on wet hair or you will seriously damage your hair. You probably also want to make sure you use a product with some hold and that has protectant from the heat. There are several that you can spray on which will help. You should probably be using a moisture conditioner at least a couple of times per month. A hair dryer and brush work just as well (with some gel). Or you can go the chemical straightening route which is more expensive and works ok.
