It wasn't made by a tailor.  It's Suit Supply.

 

The fabric needn't come from the jacket itself; the trouser cuffs are often an option.  It depends, obviously, on  how much extra cloth is available.

Thank you very much for the advice! The sharpie method was something I contemplated but knowing to ask for "bind stitches" is very helpful and I think will prevent further damage. I live in a semi-rural area in the South so often it's important to "coach" my local tailor to make sure the outcome is what I'm expecting!

FYI, I took chippneckwear's advice and had my usual tailor simply stitch it up. Looks fine, not even noticeable while the suit jacket is being worn. No charge either! Better solution than a $160 reweave in this case.
