I used to drink in class in law school a good bit on Thursday nights. I went at nights, while working a pretty stressful job, so I was always ready to get an early start on the weekend.
I've come to work still a little drunk from the night before, but have never actually imbibed at work, except when lobbying, when I was a busboy, and an occasionally beer with lunch on Fridays.

The last few jobs I've had encouraged and expected that we'd be drinking at holiday parties. No, that we'd be tanked.

I used to work at a company that had "Beer Fridays" where the beers came out at noon. I think they stopped those because of liability issues... Everyone drove to work.
