Drunk @ Work - Page 3

This is my thinking. Frankly, I'm hoping to have this option added to our Secret Santa list.

The owners wife is a 68 year old self medicated kook and the secretary is a navy chaser (it's a big military town and some girls ONLY go for military) with a 5 head and 2 kids.

What's a 5 head?

A large forehead.

That about sums it up.

Ugh. There goes my secret Secret Santa fantasy. I think Rhianna actually qualifies for 6head status.

It's been 305 days since my last drink

"Hi, Mary."

Good lord. Women get away with so much sexual harassment it's ridiculous. I admit that guys would be so much worse if not for all the scrutiny. However, I work with a lot of women and the ones in their forties and fifties are awful. Even some of the young ones that rise fast love to flaunt their power. I guess it's payback for our past sins.

At my last job, it was a (well-known) ritual that every Sunday a group of us went ot a local Mexican joint on lunch and got TANKED on margaritas. Usually we had a "go home" goal that would leave us with only an hour or two of blissful work when we returned, but on the days we missed the goal the last few hours of work could be straight up hellish. Nothing like drunk debt collecting to advance the hangover by a few hours. My current job is full of great people that LOVE their libations, but since we're retail and strive to present at least somewhat of a professional image we mostly refrain from drinking on the clock. After work, at meetings, and showing up still drunk is more or less a given, though. Strict fraternization policies prevent managers from drinking together or with our sales associates, though.

I work for the federal government up here in Canada and I can vouch for that since a majority of the workplace is women. Older women get away with absolute murder with the comments they make. They know we won't say a thing -- I certainly wouldn't, I'm not a woman -- so it can get pretty racy.

Pity they weren't lookers or I'd see how far words translate.

All that aside, years ago I showed up to work once or twice...under the weather...from night and morning before. What a long day. Never again, the job is a pain in the ass enough without the afternoon hangover.
