I have had shoes made at other London firms but they have both missed the mark when it came to the grip around the heel despite the incorporation of my requests on subsequent pairs.

Can anyone tell me of their experiences with these two firms or make recommendations regarding other possibilities?

Please post your experience when you are done. I have similar problems, and while I had talked to Tony and Dean Girling on different occasions, I did not place an order with them. I will be very curious how your order turns out.

Good luck

That sounds correct - I think I was quoted about 1,550 pounds back in June.

I have flat feet (Tony's words were "challenging"), and G&G's been able to accomodate them nicely while maintaining his aesthetic. He's also bent over backwards to have adjustments made to get the fit right.

Thanks for all the advice.

i think you have made a good choice with G&G but then again i am bias i have just got 2 pair from the just before and after Xmas and in fact i am wearing them now (as per my avatar) well i think i am to me they feel as light as slippers and more comfortable than my air max.

TG and DG are both great guys to chat with and down to earth i am sure like me you will not regret it

oh and BTW if you think the picture look look wait to you see them and better still wear them!

While looking at medwards shoes. Cleverley seems to be the best bet for "problem" feet.

Quite honestly, either Cleverley, Gaziano or Foster should serve you well. All 3 are very competent, so just go with whomever you feel most comfortable.

I have flat, wide feet, basically a 13 E, and Cleverley performed wonders.

13 size? Must be handy to get a pair of rtw or even a bespoke who doesn't look like some shoe-boxes...
