I am a newbie to the forum and would be very gratetful for some advice please on the material I should be specifying for a bespoke suit.
I am looking for a single breasted two button suit that would be used perhaps 2-3 times a year in the summer and I am not looking for a long lasting endurance type material. I would suggest it is only ever dry cleaned say once as im very careful.
I want a suit that looks visually stunning and hangs well. It will not have any pattern and will be either a slate grey or a black.
A local tailor has suggested that if my budget can extend to it then cloth manufactured by Loro Piana is hard to beat. I would be thankful for anyones advice on this particular brand and the different 'models' if there is such a term.
I have a keen eye on price so I wouldn't want to buy for an obsenely expensive material whereas one at say half the price is almost as good.
Information on the material make up of the suggested Loro Piana material would also be appreciated (perhaps it is 80% wool, 10% cashmere and 10% silk) for example, so if I then select another brand of material I will know that I am still getting a similar material composition but from a different brand
