I have the RCA anthology which I do enjoy listeing to. I like the story about her firing a gun out her window at a noisy neighbor....

I may get crucified for this, but I don't like Nina. IMO, her voice is devoid of emotion.

Watched Nina Simone on cable OVTV's " Nina Simone at the Montreal Jazz Festival". The crowd was on their feet. Never saw her on film before but she's a very intense woman. I am a fan. I believe there is going to be a movie about her to be played by Mary L Blige.

I must confess I've only heard her two most well-known songs, "Sinnerman" and "Sea Lion Woman" (a cover of which Feist pulls off nicely on her most recent album), but I love them both.

Also look at the Live version of "I Ain't Got No-I've Got Life." "Sinnerman" is something of a religious experience, especially at the end; her hesitation is what makes it.
