Hi everyone,

Just browsing around, I took a trip to Lane Crawford this evening and saw this beautiful Isaia suit, wool / silk herringbone Gregory model. I've heard a lot about Isaia, namely above Zegna and Canali right below Brioni and Kiton. So like a kid in the candy store, I took a size 48 and went to the changing room.

Gosh! I was impressed. Pictures first. Bear in mind since RTW, waist suppression obviously not done.

I don't want to be prisoner of the moment but this is by far by best RTW I've tried. I keep most of the style rules but what I feel Isaia gets right that Canali's and Zegna's don't are 1. the hourglass shape - shoulders narrow to waist then flare out, 2. some conforming to the body like the material has a special softness that sticks to your frame.

I tried a Canali prior and while it did feel well, the Canali had this heaviness to the suit at the mid section. My guess is that it's the material that is under the fabric. The Isaia just seams to flow and stream down from the shoulder to the bottom hem.

Only two things that stuck out and need to check with you. Could the jacket be a tiny bit shorter? With hand in my natural position the bottom hem sits between my thumb joint and its first phalange. Also, I weight train my biceps and the arm area seem crumbled up. Is that normal?

Out of Zegna, Canali and Isaia, Isaia safely better than the other two.

Let me know.
Donny
