Hello everyone,

Fall is coming to Japan, but we are still having muggy weather every now and then. We are looking forward to fall fashion since summer heat in Japan can be quite oppressive.

Today, we will talk about a brand I am sure some of you know about, Factotum.

Factotum is a Japanese brand started by the designer Koji Udo in 2004. They've grown a lot since then with their own retail stores in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Sendai, and their clothes being sold in many other stores all across Japan, and online.

Their flagship brand is Factotum, a stylish and high quality fashion brand.

Factotum 2016 Fall / Winter:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 90

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 90

Then there is Vallis by Factotum, a more casual brand including knits, shirts, blazers and more that can be worn daily.

Vallis by Factotum - 2017 Spring / Summer:

And finally Factotum Jeans, the most casual of their brands.

Factotum Jeans - 2017 Spring / Summer:

There are many places to buy Factotum online. You can check out their collections on their official site: http://factotum.jp/

Their online store: http://www.factotum-store.jp/

On ZOZOTOWN: http://zozo.jp/shop/factotum/

On rumors: http://rumors.jp/search/?keyword=factotum

Please let us know if there is anything in particular you'd like to see or want to know more about.

Nice pick.  I haven't thought about Factotum in a few years - I saw them in New York when they showed at Capsule, and liked most of their line, but it's been a while, otherwise.

Hi Zenmarket team,

Just a suggestion : why not developing a mobile app for your service?

I know your website is very mobile-friendly but an app would definitely be more convenient, especially since it's already so easy to pay with PayPal.

Just a suggestion to give you an edge over the competition (that can't compete when it comes to service quality and fees ;))

Good day everyone! Sorry we didn't get to post last week. Wakazuki, we would love to have an app for ZenMarket but it's currently on the list of things we want to do but can't at the moment. If one ever does start to develop we will let you know here.

Today I want to share with you a designer from Japan named Shinya Yamaguchi. He started his career gaining notoriety designing men's high heeled sneakers. If that sounds strange just google "Long Tall スニーカー" and click around. The first design was Long Tall Sally, but now includes a bunch of varieties including Long Tall Kelly, and Long Tall Amy. See below:

If you aren't interested in high heel sneakers, please check out some of his "Street Couture" fashion and let us know what you think.

Here are more pics of his latest collection:

His official site: http://shinyayamaguchi.com/ and online store: http://shinyayamaguchi.jp/

You can also find stuff online here: http://store.tiurf.jp/products/list.php?brand_id=105&category_id=55

Of course if you find anything you want, ZenMarket can get it for you with the lowest and most affordable service fees possible. Have a nice weekend!

Hello dear readers,

How are you doing?

Today, I would like to share with you an excellent upcoming brand called "hatra" (ハトラ).

This brand was made in 2010 by young designer Nagami Keisuke.

The concept of the brand is "Clothes, that allow you to carry room's cosiness with you, wherever you go", and originally designed with consideration for hikikomori persons, to let them go out more often. Because of this, the clothes are not only good to eye, but also very comfortable and cosy.

One of the most famous items that he produced is "Wearable Kotatsu Parka" , which immediatly made his brand famous in Japan.

However, in fact originally the brand is more of high fashion, and regulary exhibits on the fashion exhibitions such as Future Beauty 日本ファッションの未来性 (Future of Japanese Fashion), together with legendary brands like COMME des GARÇONS and Yohji Yamamoto.

Hatra has male, female and unisex collections.

Here is the official site for men: http://www.store.palm-jpn.com/fs/palm/c/roots-hatra_men

You can buy their clothes in the official online store:

http://www.store.palm-jpn.com/fs/palm/c/palmmaison_men-category-coat

You can also purchase here http://search.rakuten.co.jp/search/mall/hatra/551177/

Here is the most recent collection: 2016-2017 autumn-winter collection.

http://www.fashionsnap.com/collection/hatra/2016-17aw/

Please check it out, if you like the brand.

Don't forget, that ZenMarket can help you to purchase clothes of this and other indie brands from almost any online store in Japan.

Hi ZenMarket,

Would you consider adding faster processing times for an extra fee? Whenever I try to purchase a sought after/popular item on Rakuten it is usually sold out by the time my purchase is processed.

I'd be happy to pay extra to ensure I get the items I want.

Amazing idea, I agree too!

Especially for Sales times which happen very very often on Rinkan, Kind etc.

I missed some Lanvin trousers because of this :(

Hope you'll consider the option!

Hi! That's a really good idea and I'll definitely bring it up to our team. Currently we have some automatic systems in place to check items, but purchasing is done manually during business hours in Japan. This of course leads to items being sold out on occasion. Finding a solution would be beneficial for us and our customers I'm sure. I can't promise anything right now but we will surely look into its feasibility. Thanks for the feedback!

Hello fine people of styleforum,

We have a new designer from Japan to share with you today with a Japanese brand called Ayuite. Ayuite was started in 2001 in Tokyo by the designer Hiroyuki Obara. The name apparently comes from Navajo words meaning the greatest. You can easily see the Native American influence running through the designs. High quality knits, denim, leather, plaid, and bold patterns are all used in an inspiring way. It might be strange to see Vintage Americana coming from Japan, but I think looking at these clothes you can see a unique and confident designer at work.

To order through ZenMarket, please check out some Japanese online stores where you can find Ayuite. Just copy and paste any item url from any site into the search bar on http://zenmarket.jp to add it to your cart.

http://safarilounge.jp/products/list.php?category_id=202

http://zozo.jp/brand/ayuite/

https://www.ass-inc.com/html/ayuite.htm (This shop has a fun url)

https://www.ks-clothing.com/jp/brand/ayuite.html

http://zenmarket.jp/rakuten.aspx?q=ayuite (Rakuten search on ZenMarket)

And here is their current website where you can see collections.

http://www.ayuite.net/

If you are searching other websites you can copy and paste アユイテ to search in Japanese, but AYUITE should bring up plenty of results itself.

Of course please let us know if you have any questions or comments. Thank you!

I tried looking but couldn't find that particular one online. It's from last season I think. If you try searching around, copy アユイテ ニット (Ayuite Knit) and search. Alternatively you can try アユイテ カーディガン (Ayuite Cardigan). Yahoo auctions and Rakuten both come up with a few results on our site with those searches.

Edit: Found this one. It's really close but not the same. http://www.karaln-shop.com/?pid=93551611
