+1 to dabondo1. I have ordered twice: the first was a smooth return (didn't fit) and the second was a stellar deal on an independence line shoe.

If I'm buying a shoe right now, it's a chili McGregor or a bourbon flatiron from the shoe bank.

True...the bourbon flatirons just touched down a couple of weeks ago...but if I had the money, the McGregor would definitely be next...the ONLY reason I chose bourbon Flatirons over the McGregors is because in my heart of hearts I know that I've always wanted a shoe on the relatively sleek and contemporary 333 last...and I've long been lustfully eyeballing the Flatiron, in particular, ever since it was introduced...it was my grail shoe for a long time (a motivational goal of mine actually)...I feel like I have "arrived" now that I have it; and at a damn good discount to boot. Haven't even worn them yet, out of sheer respect for the shoe (wierd, I know)...but if the Flatiron wasn't a factor, I think the Chili McGregor (and the Cognac McTavish) would get infinite rotation in my wardrobe...easily the best bargain style wise, in my opinion right now.

Which is your favorite? Those are all awesome but I'd love a pair of those bottom right (bayfields?)

The recent discussion of the Clark Streets prompts a question. Other than the construction/design/last differences, what is the practical difference in usage between the CS in natural CXL and the Black Hills in walnut?

Both are a light colored, casual/informal leather with open lacing on an all-weather sole (one a Dainite, the other a mini lug). Are they interchangeable? Would they be usable year round?

I love the Black Hills. I'm not sure if I can justify adding the Clark Street.

Thanks to @MattRiv, @Neo1, @Jet-stream, and @FaRKle for the answers on the Rutledge. They are always appreciated.

I was just thinking about buying the natural CXL Clark Street!  Also - the brown/red Freiburg

FYI, 8 new models just released on AE's main site.

Some highlights:

The Boone is back. (God forbid they actually make it in a narrow width...)

Couple of golf shoes.

The sneaker we saw in the blog post.

Jeez, I can't imagine anyone in their target market paying $250 for sneakers...

Just got my first pair of AE in the mail today from eBay. Barely worn Mcallisters in Bourbon.

Beautiful color and verify comfortable. I'm in love!

I immediately want to purchase a different pair in walnut now. Was initially thinking of Strand but now leaning towards the Mctavish or Mcgreggor.

Questions: what belt is intended to match the Mcallister?

Question 2: what shoe trees are you using? The ones I use for my Cole haans don't seem to fit properly and I can't get them fully in

I know you waited for the navy a long time, so I get the front and center treatment.  But I still sweat the Natty's.

Has anyone purchased from the seller?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep.  His stuff is just as described.  Got my Normandy's from him.  If he had more in my size, I'd be in serious trouble.  BTW he also has some AE belts, though I've never purchased a belt from him.

They need to get the hipsters off the design team.
