Nordstrom Anniversary sale on the Cornwallis in dark chili. I looked around and must have missed this somehow. For $259 I may have to bite.

I'm looking at it as well. It doesn't look like they have 7.5 available though :-/

I didn't know they had the Carlyle in Midnight blue.  I think it was Strand and Cornwallis.  That is what I got at least.

My mistake! You are correct. I meant to type Cornwallis, I guess my subconscious is telling me to purchase a Carlyle!

Then explain this:

I agree with this, except I have to point out that AE MSRP is now $400. And these two Vass MTOs. Cost me 440 euros each, so the gulf in price isn't that great.

Guys, which AE shoe has a more square toe?  It's hard to tell from the pics because they all have rounded soles.

Must have been a special order the ad didn't mention the Carlyle.  I would have bought those too!  Yeah I went back and looked at the email I received.  It says LIMITED TIME OFFER Strand and Cornwallis in Midnight Navy $275

I ordered a suede Boone to check them out before they were gone in my size. Any SF members have any experience with them, good or bad?

My SA said they are gearing up for the fall in production.  I look to see Gray and Navy in the lineup.

I'm not sure if it is the reverse split welt or what, but I feel like the Strandmok is more generous than the Rush St.  I can't wear a Strand, and eventually sold my Rush St. because they are cut too tightly (I'm fine in other 5-last shoes, but a lady at the corporate office told me the Strand pattern is more tightly cut than others on this last).

In any case, I tried a pair of the Strandmoks on at the DC store in my size, and I'm thinking an E-width might actually work (where a Strand really just doesn't).

If I ever have a hole in my rotation, I'll probably custom-order a brown Strandmok in a leather sole.  I really don't like Dainite...

I live in Upstate NY and see all 4 seasons in full effect. I work in a business casual environment in the defense industry, so really anything flies.

What would you FBWs be looking at for your next purchases if you were in my shoes?

Here's where I'm at so far:

Current Rotation:
Black Park Aves
Brown Shell Strands
Merlot McAllisters
Loden Suede Dundees
Oxblood Daltons
Bone Snuff Suede Maritimes

Shoes I will be selling soon:
Brown Calf Strands (too big)
Brown Snuff Suede Dundees (too big)
Brown First Ave's (too big but kind of works with thick socks. I might keep these)
I see three balmorals, two boots, and a casual boat shoe. There are no derby/blucher shoes in that mix (except the boots).
So I'd suggest something like the Yorktown, Madison, Leeds, etc. If it fits, I think the dark chili Rogue would be perfect.
