Definitely going for comfort today...

Read that thing about the guys from Riverhead sending the pics.  I've never gotten anyone to send me pics, although I never tried Riverhead.  These were a bastard to track down, most pairs were really dark brown.  Luckily the guys as Destin came through.

Looks like I was only half right this time.  I figured around this time they would clearance out the lighter colored Maritimes and two out of the four Northlands.  Oh well... on the bright side I beat ace13x to the punch in posting this :slayer:

This item is not returnable to the AE store, do you think selling on here would be better? How much is the reasonable price you get on NEW, UNWORN items as such? Thanks.

Posters here generally stalk sales and discounts so are a hard bunch to sell to unless you have an uncommon item or great price.

I'd be very happy with half of retail if I were selling these in my size but there are likely more 9.5eee shoppers.  I likely would not count tax I paid or toppy costs.

Offer them here for your best price, and if no action, take them to eBay.  Good luck!

Thanks, guys.  They were $399 in the ShoeBank, and another pair of Independence Line shoes was $299, so I thought they might have made a shell Bartlett like how they make shell Jeffersons.  They're very handsome, either way.

I don't think any Indy 2.0 is a five hundred dollar shoe. For $55 bucks more you can get a hand welted Bonafe. But at 40% off ($299) if you can find one in acceptable shape it is a great deal.

I think it's a better looking shoe than the PA and the 201 last is a big improvement for me. If someone doesn't have a black stitch cap (and everyone should) they ought to check out the SB for their size.

Ace is correct - Indy, not shell. One clarification - there has only been one Bartlett (a couple different Jeffersons), and I can confirm this is on the 201 last. I have a bunch of Indy line shoes and love them.

I just noticed these gems on shoebank.... http://shoebank.com/FactorySecondInventory.php?STY=3373S&DIM=3E&SIZE=085

Definitely a requirement for all of us living in florida.

Went to put the Black McTs I wore yesterday in the waaay back of the closet - and saw these bourbon Kennies looking all lonely. So, I decided to pull them out for some air. These were one of my first 5 or so AEs; 2nds picked up for $147 iirc. They were my first workhorse/versatile/suit-to-denim shoe before this torch was passed to my Bleeckers (and, now, Fifth Streets).

I'd give up my monthly NYC subway pass for this monster.

Thanks. So, even unworn shoes go for half of retail? That's strange. I am not trying to get back all $470 but I mentioned that to give an idea about cost of the shoe. I will think about it and checkout some more sales forum. But if anyone is ever ordering custom order 9.5eee then its a great bargain for them for lot of discount.

It is what it is, bro. Even unworn Edward greens and John Lobbs go for around 40-60% retail. You might also try the buy/sell/trade thread on Goodyear welt Subreddit.

Maiden voyage of my Mctavish, found on the Shoe Bank. No better time or place than Rome for dinner!

Most people also will not see v-tread as "custom" its not really a special thing. As stated previously most people on hear know that AE has sales so frequently that paying retail for them is very rare. I'm assuming you cannot return them because they have v-tread. Its worth calling their customer service to see if you can work something out with them. But yes unless its a rare and desired shoe I would not expect to get even %50 of that $470 truthfully. YMMV though. List it on ebay and set a minimum that you are willing to let it go for and see what happens.

First outing for the new bourbon McAllisters. I'm absolutely smitten:
