The Carlyle's I bought from Dobando have a "no warrenty" stamp on them.  Anyone know why they do this to some shoes?  They were gently worn once, but otherwise, looked brand new.

@orange fury Not trying to call you out, but the 108 couldn't be further apart from the 65. I have a barrel of trouble with the 65, but practically none with the 108, other than that they just feel overly roomy. The 222 is very similar to the 108, but much more narrow.

I wear a 9D on the 5 last. I got a pair of Leeds 1.0 in 9D but they are tight on my pinkie toe. I'm looking to get a pair of Leeds 2.0 on the flash sale, but given the Poron insole on the 2.0 should I size up to 9E or 9.5D??

Thanks

The 5 last is AEs longest last, so it sounds like the 9D Leeds (511 last) are running a bit short on you.  I had this issue with my 511 lasted shoes, might help you out to have them stretched a bit.  I would try the 9.5 D.

@sd-engnr If the strandmok doesn't bother you instep wise & you have no problem with closing the lace gap, the 2.0 should feel the same.

I've always wondered how the 65 to the 511 last affected people. I wear 9E on the 65 and 9D on the 511. Its possible 8.5 2E works for me on the 65 last but none were in store and I was happy in the 9E that I never bothered checking. Unfortunately it leaves me wondering how the Indy line would best fit me. So that will be a future trip to the store (calling ahead of course).

No offense taken, I'm just speaking from my experience- I guess I have weird feet, but both lasts feel very similar to me.

Those are "thirds" - usually sold to a jobber (dabondo) who lists them on eBay. Thirds are either shoes with such a major flaw that they can't be sold even as seconds (usually a tear in the leather or something like that), or shoes that were worn and returned to AE. AE brands them "No Warranty" so nobody buys them and tries to complain about an issue with them. They truly are "as-is".

I'm 8 D (my usual size) on the 511 for the most part.  Fits me very well.  I'm 8.5 D or 7.5 E on the Park Ave.   The 511 tends to have a lot of room at the heel, which I don't like as much as the 108 or 65.  Definitely a fatter last, but not a bad fit.  The 108 last fits me best, and 8 D fits me perfectly.

@orange fury If anything id say you have anti-weird feet. Speaking from personal experience, if the 65 & 108 are both good, you pretty damn lucky.

Those have been up there a while.  I picked one up and no own one in dark brown and bourbon.  Funny thing is that I wear the dark brown with my bourbon shoes and the bourbon with my walnut.

I've got a shoe from pretty much every last and I wear a 12 B in all of them.  The 65 and the 108 fit me best.

This is news to me. Well there goes 50 bucks. I've been neglecting wearing my bourbons as I don't like how they play with my chilli or DB belts.

AE/Brooks Warwick in dark chili for $149? Yes please and thank you.

...It's not like I have bourbon McAllisters due to show up tomorrow or anything...

In my experience having one pair of seconds recrafting, no. They put the hammer, nothing else.
