Do any of you size up a width to account for your feet swelling? I've noticed that my feet swell quite a bit over the course of only a few hours and think I could stand to go up a width from my standard 8.5D. Wondering if any of you size up like this or just count of leather stretching over time?

Nice, any idea when Nords will be selling these?

I'm not sure, perhaps they are prepping for the Anniversary sale.

I might return my fifth Ave in chili for Cornwallis, the 1943 last fits like a glove for me.

And the Cornwallis is such a beautiful shoe, too!

Happy Mother's Day! I was wondering if we have any women lurkers here on the AE thread? Perhaps the mother in your life would like to receive a nice gift of wingtips? No, I'm not kidding as some women love shoes inspired by designed for men. Thus was created the website wingtipwomen.com. Its a nice blog and the writer loves AE shoes as she unboxes her new Park Aves.

The only modification on this blucher is the expose eyelets. Since these have antique welt and edging, try were made that way by Alden. The standard 990 comes with black welt and edge dressing. Modifying the edge will still leave the welt black.

Yea or nay? I personally really like it, but I am known for poor judgement on occasion, just ask my wife.

I'm fine with women in general wearing AE, but personally I don't want my wife cutting in on the household AE budget.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads-up on melatonin creme, I'll definitely check it out!

It's going to be a sad day when these Eastports finally give up the ghost and I'll probably have them bronzed or ceremonially buried. My wife already gives me the quizzical "why?" whenever I go about restoring them, and I won't want to do it, but I'll feel I owe it to them.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday, as always.

Ah, so this is why the dark chili Lasalle suddenly appeared.  I prefer regular chili over dark, but I like that they are releasing variations of colors.   Love my chili Lasalles.

Like my list, huh:nodding:

If you do wind up getting the 1st ave, let me know how they go.  Based on the fit of the Sauk, I don't think I could handle any looser, so the speedhooks sort of turned me off...but maybe they don't affect things as much as I thought.
