That's the plan. How else do you think my freaky feet fit in AE.

I went with my usual size. They're a little roomy and I might add tongue pads if the leather stretches much. I thought about sizing down but the implications seemed to create more problems than they solved.

I wear an 11.5 in both, though while I'm fine with a D in the McT, I should probably have gotten an E in the strand/Rush St. for better closure (I'm the wide end of a D).  I'd guess it has something to do with the cap-toe design since they are all 5-last shoes.

Net:  I definitely wouldn't size down from a Strand for a McT, though the McT tolerates width better than the strand IMHO.

I went with 8E, the same as what fitted best in the Strand.  I couldn't try on and 8EE in the Strand, but I feel that 8EE would be too wide for me in any 65 last shoe.  My issue with the 65 is not the heal, or the width at the ball, but the instep on Balmorals.  This is a pic of my McT's, in a strand, the fit is the same except a bit wider V-Gap. (Pardon the sloppy cuffs, I did that to get better shots of the shoes.)

Hmm. That's odd. $297 would make more sense, because at least then it would be their super close out price (that's what I paid for my Westchesters). Or has it just been sitting there since shell seconds really were $299, lonesomely waiting for someone to give it a good home?

Ask to have the price knocked down to whatever the seconds price would've been.

Yes, Cognac.  They're a touch lighter in real life.

Will do. I called, and she said send an email with photos. I'll ask for that. I'm sure they will make good.

That's the cognac, but not the typical cognac color. Though I like them a lot, his are somewhere between the regular cognac and the natural tan.
