I like these and hope I can track down a pair of them somehow. Add this to my hunt list.

never heard of them, but I like them a ton! Your pix look better than the AE pix...
(Re: Darmstadt shoes...)
I wasn't even trying. Still, it's true that vendors' and manufacturers' online photos of their clothing and shoes are often poor. Bad rebackgrounds or no background [white nothingness], harsh or too much lighting, etc.
Those look great! I was wanting the brown ones, but they sold out of nearly every size before I even got a chance!
Behold the Blue Bainbridge!
I need another blue shoe like I need a hole in the head but it's a keeper !
Ok... this might sound nutty, just hear me out.
I had a strange squeak in some suede Dundee 2.0s. Couldn't figure it out.
So, I thought... well, maybe it's the lining. That's pretty tough stuff... feels like a new baseball glove... maybe it needs help breaking in?
So, I Bick'd the inside of it. Bick, air dry for some various amount of time (30 mins? 1 hour? Really, it was between random toddler crises), insert tree. Forget about it for a few hours, then repeat.
Probably did this 5 times over the course of a couple days. No squeak, and the insides are like buttuh...
I now do this process for all my new lined shoes... I would not do it with unlined suede, however...
Those looked great! Is the cap a different color or leather than the vamp?
Well, that may be nuttier than a squirrel turd, but I'd be willing to give this a try. Maybe even borrow a toddler for correct timing. I really do think the squeak is coming from the lining.
The squeak is more likely caused by the interaction of your socks with the linings of your shoes..... I have shoes that squeak like that when I wear cotton/synthetic blend socks. It seems the higher the level of synthetic in the fabric, the more the socks (when combined with some inevitable perspiration) grab the linings and squeak. When I wear the same shoes with merino wool blend socks that breathe and wick moisture away better, no squeak at all, all day long.
