I have seen too many Park Avenues with baggy, ill-fitting suits. Way to pull these off in style! The BB styles work for me in some cases because I have a narrower foot (C width) but the B width is too narrow.

The case has been made for cork over poron, but poron is not all bad and some prefer the added cushion.

Technically they look the same but the BB fits me better width wise and saves me quite a lot. I read somewhere that BB-AE uses lower graded leather than the original AE but the leather from both pairs look and feel the same for me. Could someone shed light on this?

The finish on my Bourbon Larchmont seconds turned out not so bad. Think I should press my luck with some Bourbon Mora 2s?

Wearing my long branches today, bought these off ebay. They were originally golden brown and are CXL, with some serious finish issues. I decided to dye them navy.

Mora Monday. Confession time too, I love cardigans. I would wear one daily if I found the right fabrics. Also, don't mind Tiger in the background...

Oxblood McGregors maiden voyage.

Squeaky as hell though. I sound like a duck walking around the office today.

Rain expected Mon-Fri, so these LBs might make multiple appearances this seems.

I actually had a hard time finding my own post (probably user error ;))

I would look at the brannock again, keep in mind that you should be going with the the higher of the two between heel to toe / heel to ball and use that number to see your width (you can even take some pics if you want to show us).

So then it's normal to have some up and down movement in the heel for these?

I wouldn't say that it's normal or ideal, but not every foot is going to fit every last.  The heel slip should dissipate some as the sole loosens up.  If it doesn't, you might have to wear thicker socks or think about adding a heel grip or something to dial in the fit.

As I understand it, you're not choosing between cork or poron. You're choosing between leather or poron, but the cork is there regardless.

It depends on the shoe/last which problem is worse and which way I go. It's true some heel slip will go away but not a huge amount. I've unloaded shoes on eBay because the heel slip was bugging me too much and wasn't getting better.

Those look great. Did you dye them yourself or use a cobbler?

I did that myself, been practicing a little.

Hello gentlemen,

New member here and I wanted to ask for your help. I recently learned about AE and am in desperate search of tan or cognac mctavish in size 10.5 or even 10. I hope I'm not too late but does anyone have any they are willing to sell?
