I have Malone that is on the same last but rubber sole fits me probably 2nd best (65 fits best).

The new Shelton is on the 201 I have several pair on this last also fits me well.

Hard call with the big price diff it's hard to resist trying the Shelton 1.0.

I haven't tried it, but the 1757 last works well for most people.  It feels like to me, sort of like the 511 last.  I'm assuming you mean dark chili Lasalle?  I haven't seen the Delray in dark chili yet.

Edit:  Oh I see, they changed the color name from chili to dark chili.  I just received my RDA catalog and the Delray is no longer offered in regular chili.

how about a natural shell strand! Excuse late reply...I am just catching up. Or a ruby red (close to #2) in a Carlyle or Leeds! Or...bottle green...er midnight blue..yikes...this is getting expensive just thinking about it!

I understand your disappointment on the price of shell during the RDA sale. My personal "shell policy" arose from the realization that shell is is now less available and far more in demand than in the past. The price WILL continue to go higher and higher with the passing of time. What is high now will be a bargain in 2-3 years, especially if you get something on sale. For me personally, I pull the shell trigger when I want the the shoe, know it will fit and I find it available. On sale? A bonus. Good condition previously owned? Another bonus. Vintage or no longer available? Another bonus. I find that many sale prices on calf shoes is like waiting for a bus; another one will arrive after a while. But for me, I grab the shell bus when it is there and hope for a bonus.

Hey guys! So is there a trunk show happening soon? If so, where is it being held? And how do get in?

Thanks friends!

I noticed on the Nordstrom Rack site that they had this single pair of olive AE boat shoes in 8 EEE for just $48, which us 75% off. Just in case it appeals to you and you happen to be an 8 EEE. Click here.

I want the brown, but I don't want to pay anywhere near retail lol.
I'm in the same boat. I didn't think I wanted the brown until I got the black!

So after speaking with the LaSalle Store, Adam confirmed that Paul G, Nick H and some other senior execs from AE are hitting Chicago, NYC and DC. Chicago, if I remember correctly was on October 25th. Once  the show starts, any store /salesperson can order. Colors as was previously posted, with Ruby Red supposidly closed to Carmina's # 2. (Adam believes it to be the exact same color sold to Carmina.) Fwiw, this go round, the shell has already been purchased and will be ready for cutting/lasting once the orders come in.

I really like those Shannon Drives I've seen here lately.
I already have the olive Rush Streets though, and think it would be redundant having two casual green pairs.
They look so good though. It's hard to resist....

So this officially means that the trunk show starts on October 25th?  How long do these last?  Forgive my ignorance ,I'm new to these.   I'm sure many people on here are very interested in the shell.

Why can't we get any love on the west coast?

@polojock615, you going to go all out again? Loved your makeups last time!

Not sure....Adam made it seem that the start of the tour would be in Chicago and then NY and possibly/probably DC. They are to hit 2 of the NYC stores in one day. He also mentioned that 'the show' would go for a couple of/to a few weeks. I am awaiting  an e-mail from the 44th Street store for confirmation/further information. Will post if/when received.

btw: I feel like I've been abiding by the rules, like the filthy barnweasel that I am, but haven't posted pictures of: my #8 PAs for Merlot Monday, my vintage Chili (old chili) Woodstocks for 'Woodstock Wednesday', and my Merlot Enfields for 'Throw Back Thursday'. ( Had to wear the loafers one last time before going into winter hibernation, much to my dismay.)

Oh, and my favorite non-shell shoes vary by season as well.
