Please do not question AE's use of superlatives. Thank you.

Dark Chili McAllisters for me today. Love the color. One thing I'm wondering about though are the creases that are appearing towards the front of the shoe. Anyone think these may be a tad too large? I originally tried on a 10D which was too narrow, don't remember how the length was. Went up to a 10.5D which seemed fine. After a single wear I realized they were still to narrow and exchanged for a 10.5E. Fit has never seemed too bad, maybe just a little loose. But these creases have me wondering if maybe the 10E would fit slightly better.

What is your Brannock measurement? Can you indicate where your big toe ends? If I'm not mistaken, when you go down a half size you may need to increase the width. When you say "loose" do you mean in the length dimension? Can you please specify?

Based on just this picture, it seems like a long way from the first row of creasing to the end of the shoe. However, I'm still a level one fit advisor.

I can't imagine that the standard offerings wouldn't also be available, but you never know. During the 2014 trunk show, they had two shades of brown. The standard brown and a special dark brown.

I never thought I would ever consider buying the Equus Leather midnight blue, postbox red, or British racing green  bridle leather belts, but seriously... these are just waiting to be matched up to these Horween shell cordovan colors.  Shameless plug for the best leather beltmaker around.

Let's play "there's a gun at your head and you have to order a shoe in 'ruby red' shell."

If I could count on AE not adding a weird welt and sole, I say the Eagle Country boot. Or Dundee.

I think I'd go Cornwallis perhaps.

Cornwallis is the correct answer. Carlyle in any of the colors is also an acceptable answer. Strand, too. Navy First Ave.

Edit: green Leiden. Blue or red Liverpool.

I suppose you can add the MacNeil to the list.  Florsheim made their Kenmore in color 2 as well as a panoply of other colors like green and blue.

Does anyone have this shoe?  Comment on it?

Lots of us have ordered from this event in the past. You'll see the shoes we've gotten if you go back through the thread.

Mine from the 2014 event:

It took forever for them to finish them because they messed up the first pair, but it was worth it. They're beautiful.

Where is the trunk show?  Can anyone participate?

So since I am relatively new to the shell cordovan experience, can someone please explain to me what the trunk show is, where it is and how you can participate?  I would love to have NAVY shell Dundees! :)

I have the commando soled version. Great shoe, even if the Barrie last is a bit more bulbous looking in the toe. I think the Dundee's 511 last looks better in a plain toe.

I would love to order navy shell tassel loafers (Grayson or Acheson), but I don't want to drop $600+ on shoes right now. On the HM's, I'd be interested to hear the story about why they dropped the price to $250 right after releasing it. I'm not complaining about being a beneficiary of that sale, I'm just curious.

I'll honestly probably sit out this RDA.

Those are the Canadian Park Aves, right?  What are the differences between the two?  I'm assuming the insole is leather?
