Honestly, I was kind of wondering the same thing

Paul! Do a midnight navy Grayson! 😀

If anything decent came out of all the grey shoes it's that when they reduced them to clearance it put them in a price bracket I could afford - I picked up a pair of mctavish's in grey rough suede. My brother also picked up a pair of Eagle County boots in grey. It put both of our foots in the door as far as Allen Edmonds go, we've both got several pairs now.

As a side note, those mctavishs are thus far my favourite pair of AE's I darkened the suede using black leather conditioner so that the colour became more of a deep charcoal. They look great with jeans. I've worn them so much that they desperately need to be resoled.

Wingtip Wednesday for me too! Although the 0% chance of rain drove the decision more so than the actual day of the week.

Maiden voyage for these bad boys. Still smitten. Fit seems spot on! Spent most of the morning looking at my feet (even more than normal).

Indirect and direct sun:

And, my daily @dapkicks pic (unspoiled because... well, shell):

Cashmere, cords and Dark Chili MacNeils for Wednesday. Finally, my kind of weather. Thought it would never get here.

Is the best option for this to just polish the heck out of it?

Rest easy. Some polish, brushing, and polishing with an old t-shirt in a couple of combinations and you'll never know it was there. 15 minutes tops. This is why we buy quality.

Last I checked, they still had pairs of factory seconds on the ShoeBank site.

I just read your sig and wow, you have an impressive collection.  3 Jeffersons, a Rutledge and 2 Waltons.  Do you have the Walton in brown or chili?

Thank you.

I have the Walton in black and chili.  The chili is a very nice color.  I get compliments every time I wear them.

Easy: natural shell Dundees and brown country grain MacNeils. Those are the ones that match my wardrobe the best, and they're both built like tanks, especially with the JR double sole on the Dundee and the double Dainite on the MacNeil.

Thank you.

Digging the outfit today @St Hubbins! I love the added texture that is possible once fall fall weather rolls into town.

I think that all of the old "Seven" line of shoes were made in Italy using Italian lasts that weren't part of AEs normal collection.

Thanks very much. I found the cordovan dundee at shoebank. But the discount is not much if the retail is 650. So the price there is final right? Sorry for being a noob. But otherwise, it seems it doesnt produce new cordovan dundee anymore.

I don't know that they are totally gone. You might want to call in and see if they have firsts. Yes that is the final price except for a sale which can bring them down to ~$400 on shoebank and 15% off retail during RDA sale.
