I am thinking of recommending the Lexington, but I don't know if they're available anymore, and they might be a little to dressy to be worn with casual clothes. What would you suggest?

There may still be second quality chili Rogues still available in his size on the Shoebank.

Both. Obviously. Plus matching belts.

Long time lurker...blah blah blah. Thought you guys might like to see the transformation I have made over the past two years.

Prior to 2 years ago, this is all I wore.

I hope I won't get banned for posting such filth. I bought a pair of these every 15-18 mos for the past 20 years. I guess they weren't so obviously bad in the early 90s when I started buying them but the less said about them now, the better.

After lurking here for a while and learning, I have updated my shoe collection:

L-R: Sea Islands (Bone), Cavanaughs (Brown Burnished), Strands (Walnut), Mora 2.0 (Bourbon), McGregors (Dark Chili Burnished)

My collection pales to many of yours but this is a step in the right direction for me and I greatly appreciate this community for the wealth of knowledge. Cheers!

By any chance, does anyone have details on when the King of Prussia location is expected to open?

Finally picked up my pair of Suede Acheson's. Completely in love!

* With all due apologies to ZZ Top.

Long wings, derbys too
Oh my God now they come in blue.
Chili brown, now some black,
No square toes, I ain’t going back.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

RDA, trunk show too,

I feel the need to buy new shoes.

 Number 8 and black shell

The ladies notice that I’m looking swell.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Top coat, top hat,
I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp and lookin' for love.

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

A very manly pairing today with a lavendar OCBD and the Merlot Strands for Monday's "Cheap Clothes, Expensive Shoes."

Happy Monday, Gents! Tapping into the deeper portion of my rotation today... Bob's Chili Rogues and grey chinos.

I'm not exactly sure why these find themselves in the far back of my closet. The fit isn't spectacular and the fatty creases on 1 foot bothers me. That said, I love the color and the rounded edge finishing! These were NWs (oh so slightly worn, the crease was likely why they were returned), scooped shortly after the 201 was released and I was trying to figure out my correct size (and how to control with excess volume). Looks like now I probably should have gone up in length and down in width, rather than the other way around like I did with these. Lessons learned. Add these 8.5Es to my potential 'sell pile.'

Gotta give those bench players some minutes.  My poor Ashton has been sitting in the closet for a long time.   Every time I want to wear a chili split toe, I tend to chose the Lasalle.

Exactly!

I'm pulling shoes off the bench like a sixth man... I don't know what's better, getting shoes or getting paid, I just know when I'm getting one, the other is getting away.

Well, couldn't hold back any longer so I pulled the trigger on some walnut Daltons this weekend. Made the trip to the Mebane store and the only pair they had in my size had terrible wrinkling in the top part of the left boot. Just way too much, so I put an order in for a pair they had at the warehouse. Should get it later this week, so I'm crossing my fingers that they are in acceptable shape.

Now if that fall weather would just get here......

Thought I'd share 2 things with you gents today:

1. I started a men's Bible study today - starts at 6 a.m.  I needed to give an intro at an American Society of Civil Engineers meeting later today, so I had my Walnut Strands on and full suit and tie.  Well, in the dark of the morning, walking up the concrete steps in a hurry - yep you guessed it - scuffed the front of one of my shoes.  I'm probably the only person thinking about it today but I am!  Haha - I will break out the Walnut polish when I get home.

2. Even with that - after the meeting a lawyer colleague of mine came up and said - "Nice Allen Edmonds."  As someone who just upgraded to good shoes, that was a good feeling!  He also had some AEs on, they were not Warwicks but looked like an older model of single Monk straps.  They were worn-in looking with a beautiful patina.  They had character.  They were awesome.

Hope everyone has a great day.
